Do this 1 thing to maximize your business growth

Today, I have 1 simple yet powerful message for business owners. It is something that you have probably heard before, but skipped over and not really paid a lot of attention to.

If there is one thing you do in your business this year to maximize growth, it is this.

Do more of what’s working, and less of what’s not.

I know that this advice seems seriously simple and obvious, but surprisingly, it is one of the things I see business owners doing the least. Many are creatives and get in a pattern of wanting to create that next idea for their customers. Others get caught up in following the latest trends and jumping on the next bandwagon of success.

However, I believe the real reason business owners don’t follow this advice is that they don’t have a really simple, straightforward way to figure out what is really working for them.

The struggle is real, my friends. First, we have our wonderful brains that tell us all kinds of made-up stories that do not usually match reality and have our own drama and limiting beliefs tied into them.

In addition, there is no shortage of people online who will tell you what’s working and what’s not. However, I caution you about this advice as these people are not in your business, so it is impossible for them to know the details of your unique situation.

Let me tell you a little secret: the only way to really be sure you’re focusing your efforts on what’s working best in your business is to actually track the data — and even more importantly, have a simple, fast way to access it on a regular basis. Data specific to your business is the most trustworthy, unbiased source of information you will ever find.

Imagine for a moment: your latest sales funnel is ready to go. You have your webinar, social media posts and emails all scheduled and ready. You are halfway through your launch and note that your conversion rate and sales are less than stellar. Instead of guessing what the ‘fix’ is, you can actually just look at a couple dashboards and know for sure what you can do more of to get more results. Does that sound like an easy solution to you?

If you do one thing in 2023, let it be looking at your data to be able to do more of what is working and less of what is not.

“Where do I start?” you might ask. Well, of course I am biased, but I do believe having a dashboard that automatically updates and is visually appealing is one of the easiest ways to accomplish this.

For today, I do not want you to get bogged down with how to find and track the data. I would rather have you commit to make this a priority in your business this year. It will be your best, most trusted, and most neutral guide to what’s working and what’s not. This kind of knowing with certainty is a game changer and one that can lead to massive growth.

What’s one thing that’s working in your business right now? Do you know with certainty?
